Lighting the Way Together

myHappymind is delivered in schools by class teachers through a series of interactive lessons and then the children apply these learnings throughout the day. It is very important to us that children learn about their own mental health and well-being including strategies to help support self-regulation from a young age. Children from Nursery to Year 6 access the lessons in an age appropriate way.

Children from Year 1 to Year 6 have their own journal which they complete during the myHappymind lessons, they are also encouraged to use the journal at different times of the week if they would like to revisit the strategies and habits they have been learning about.

Year 6 also complete specific lessons linked to supporting their transition to secondary school.

During the year, all year groups complete the same units of work, which are outlined below. Each unit is launched with a whole school assembly.

myHappymind Parent Support

To further embed this learning, myHappymind has developed a Parent App. These resources can be accessed online on your computer, or through an app on your phone. The Parent App will support you as a parent in understanding what your child is learning, activities for you to do together at home and also a Kids Zone featuring myHappymind Games plus much more!

To access these materials just go to https://myhappymind.org/parent-resources to create your free account. You will need to enter your name, email, and authentication code.

Please contact the school office for the school code.

Once you have created your account, you will receive an email with the next steps on downloading the app.

We really encourage you to make use of this free content so that you can support your child and their mental health and well-being beyond the learning completed at school.
