CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES & ARRANGEMENTS
Dear Parents and Carers
As we approach the festive period, I am writing with exciting details of all our Christmas activities.
Christmas Post Box – from Monday 2 December
From Monday 2 December the post box will be outside the school office entrance for children to post their Christmas cards to their friends who are not in your child’s class. If your child is bringing in Christmas Cards for children who are in your child’s class, your child can give their Christmas Cards to their teacher to distribute. The last posting date for our post box will be Wednesday morning 18 December, the box will be emptied once school has started and the cards delivered. Please remember to put the child’s name and class on the envelope, or we will not be able to deliver! The office/class teachers will not be able to give out class lists (for safeguarding reasons). If you aren’t sure of children’s names a possible alternative would be to send one card to the class and then donate the money not spent on cards to charity.
Overgate Hospice Reindeer Run - Friday 13 December – during the school day
On Friday 13 December we will be holding a Reindeer Run to raise funds for Overgate Hospice and asking for a donation of £2.00 per child. We are encouraging all children to wear something red. A separate letter giving lots more information will be sent home by our LIGHT Team next week all being well.

Children choose their own meal at the counter. If your child will require the vegetarian option please return the reply slip at the end of this letter by Wednesday 4 December. The children will walk to church from school after registration and walk back to school following the service. Party Clothes – we will all be in party clothes on Friday 20 December
Children will take part in a variety of fun games and activities throughout the day, with all classes being allocated time in the hall so that they can have a disco or play games. School cannot accept responsibility for any damage to party clothes worn. Sensible shoes must still be worn; no heels or open toes please.
