Clubs - Autumn 2025
Below are details of our autumn clubs.
The clubs start week commencing Monday 29th September and run for ten weeks.
All Clubs’ will finish, for this term, after school on Friday 12 December 2025.
Times Tables Rock Stars and Dance Mat Typing
Year 3 – Classes 9 and 10
Monday 3.20 pm to 4.15 pm
Mrs Thorpe
Practice your times tables and challenge other children in the club. This club will be a fun way to learn those very important times tables. You will also be able to learn typing skills which BBC Dance Mat Typing, a fabulous way to become more skilled on the keyboard.
KS2 Choir Club
Classes 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, & 16
Tuesday 8.00 am to 8.45 am
Mrs Huby
If you love singing and would like to join Mrs Huby choir this is the place to be! Last year our School Choir performed at the Victoria Theatre which was a fabulous experience for all of the children - let's see what this year brings!
Digital Art
Year 4 – Classes 11 & 12
Tuesday – 3.20 pm to 4.15 pm
Mrs Thorpe Art is fun! We are going to use our computer skills to have fun with art. We will be exploring a number of different programs including Tate Kids, Paint.net and Microsoft Paint 3D to produce different types of paintings. We will also spend some time looking at Digital Photo Editing using Picasa. Interland is all about e-safety and we will learn how to stay safe on-line.
Chess Club – Year 4, 5 & 6 – Classes 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16
Thursday – 3.20 pm to 4.15 pm
Mr Armitage
Mr Armitage will be hosting a Chess Club in Class 11 on Thursdays after school. The club is welcome to all Year 4-6 pupils regardless of whether they are new to chess or have played the game before. Chess is a great game that involves a lot of logical thinking. It also encourages strategy and the importance of planning ahead. Chess sets are available in school so no need for your child to bring anything. Hope to see your child there.
Gymnastics Club – Year 4, 5 & 6 – Classes 11, 12,13,14, 15 & 16
Thursday 3.20 pm to 4.15 pm
Miss Bowers
It’s time to get your bodies moving and stretching. Join gymnastics if you want to strengthen your body and learn new skills. If you are a good listener and willing to give it a go then gymnastics is for you. Gymnastics is open to both boys and girls.
Pivot and Coding – Years 6 - Classes 15 & 16
Wednesday – 3.20 pm to 4.15 pm
Mrs Thorpe
At Code Club we will follow a timetable and have guidelines as to how we work and what we work on. If you would like to learn more about coding and/or understand more please join this club. Learn to animate using Pivot, a program building short animations, moving figures using small movements frame by frame. Scratch - a program to learn code skills, short animations and games can be made in a fun way.
Library Club
Years 3 & 4 – Classes 9, 10, 11 and 12
Monday 3.20 pm to 4.15 pm
Miss Holdsworth
Do you love reading, or would you like to improve your reading? Come and join our Library Club, we will be choosing books to read with a partner and also listening to Miss Holdsworth read to the whole group.
Puzzle Club
Key Stage 1 - Classes 6, 7 & 8
Tuesday – 3.15 pm to 4.00 pm
Miss Davey
Do you enjoy doing puzzles, or would you like to try some new puzzles? If so this is the club for you. Come along and join Miss Davey to use our school puzzles and let’s see if we can solve the puzzles.
Football Club – Year 5 & 6 – Classes 13, 14, 15 & 16 - Girls and Boys
Friday 3.20 pm to 4.15 pm
Sports Coach
Do you fancy a game of footy after school on Friday afternoons? We have a sports coach coming into school to run an after school football club on Friday after school. We will be learning ball control, technical skills (dribbling, passing and shooting). We will also be learning some physical conditioning (cardio, strength and agility). This club is both girls and boys.
